What I liked about micro teaching was that you were able to introduce different platforms to learners that benefits their holistic growth, giving them a different setting to explore things in and thus gaining their interest. My dislikes about micro teaching are that not so many schools are able to make use of it primarily because of them not having the correct equipment, teachers not having the equipment or learners. Microteaching though that has benefits, also does not make up for contact teaching. I learned a new set of creativity during this experience. I was able to give my creativity senses a new platform to work on and explore. Whilst coming up with my micro teaching lesson I needed to think outside the box in how I could create an activity that was fun, educational, and purposeful. The things I would do differently within my microteaching would have been to find more platforms that were easier to use because of the YouTube platform not working in the lesson. I would have also found out different ways in how learners could have used the Blackboard platform better and creatively, because of me not giving them the chance to explore, and have the platform assist in their education but rather only what learners were being taught. I do not think that I chose appropriate tools apart from the Blackboard platform because the additional tool desired to be used was not working appropriately to what it needed to do. Furthermore, the additional tool not working within the lesson caused the lesson to not go as planned and to somewhat not gain the learner's full attention and interest. This experience has developed me in teaching in a school by allowing me to embrace the dramatic side within me. I plan on moving towards adding drama in most things I do, allowing learners to be drawn to the lesson, what they need to take from it and to develop as a person. Although what I have planned in my head and what will be set while I teach will be different, I need to be able to easily maneuver and be quick on my feet in terms of coming up with ways to fill any gaps.
