My first life of the teacher was more successful compared to the last two. I felt that I was more confident when it came to my classroom management within the first one because of it being very different from what the learners knew, than the second management style. I knew that the learners would change from the last time I saw them and therefore making an impact on how I managed the class as well as coped during the life of a teacher. With the help of my mentor teacher, I can say that I coped but when she was not present, the learners would take advantage of her lack of presence. In the first block I found that taking the responsibilities were rather enjoyable possibly because of me not knowing the school or how it is run, the responsibilities within the classroom and beyond the classroom. Compared to my second block, I took on more responsibilities reason being learners having assessments that were crucial for them to do and therefore most things being hurried. Though this was the case I was able to see how the school was run within the two terms and the different responsibilities I had to take. I felt confused and overwhelmed sometimes, but I made sure to focus on what I needed to do. I found mathematics being the most challenging because of some learners not having a positive reaction to it, leaving them feeling less motivated to do the work at task and therefore disrupting the class while I had learners on the mat. I overcame these challenges by giving them a chance to help one another. I saw that them helping one another gave them the chance to see the work content in a another light and learn to comprehend it differently. When it comes to my self-evaluation survey, the one that was done before teaching practical, I would not rate myself higher in any of my results implemented, because I am still a developing educator. As much as it would be desired, it takes time for one to grow into the person within their profession. I have accepted that I am not perfect, though heading into the profession, I believe constant reflection within the profession is important. Through doing constant reflection, I can say that I have improved the competencies. During teaching practical, I was exposed to different scenarios that challenged my character and the knowledge I have of my profession. Often when going through these challenges, the reflections had overlapped in thoughts of what I knew professionally and me as a person. I would try to understand the situations reasoning and where I stood. I then began to, facing challenges or things coming my way, through introspection, handle it. My mentor teacher had not written anything within the exit levels, but she had spoken to me verbally about what I could work and focus on. To some it up what was said just guided me to not think and be too hard on myself and take everything one step at a time. I was fortunate enough to hear her stories and how far she has come, motivating me to learn from what she went through.
